Throughout his career Benoit accumulated a total of sixteen championships as a singles competitor, and was the second of only three men in history to become World Heavy Weight Champion in both WCW and WWE (the others being Bill Goldberg and Booker T). He was also the 2004 Royal Rumble winner, being the second person to ever enter at number one and go on to win.

Chris Benoit died in his home at Fayetteville, Georgia at the age of 40.
