After joining WWE, Orton became a member of the stable Evolution formed by Triple H, Ric Flair and Batista which quickly led to his capture of the WWE Intercontinental Championship. In 2004, Orton became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion when he won the title at the age of 24 by defeating Chris Benoit at Summerslam.This led to his departure from Evolution and a feud with his former stablemates.His reign as the world champion was short lived as he lost the title to Triple H at the next month’s PPV Unforgiven In the year 2005 Orton faced The Undertaker at wrestlemania which he eventually lost.Throughout the year 2005 he had a series of feuds with The Undertaker which finally ended at Armageddon where Orton lost to undertaker in a Hell in a Cell..In 2006, he joined up with Edge in a tag team known as Rated-RKO. Together they held the World Tag Team Championship. In 2007, Orton won the WWE Championship twice in one night. He is also the winner of 2009 Royal Rumble

Altogether Orton is a six time World Champion,1 time Tag team champion and a 1 time Intercontinental Champion.

Orton currently wrestles in the Raw brand where he has made his own stable comprising Cody Rhodes and Ted Debiase known as The Legacy.
